Jets for Z1B

#1 PostAuthor: Dodgy Z1B » Tue May 01, 2007 11:02 am

Should I up jet the carbs on my bike?
Set up is standard airbox, harris pipe with road legal baffle, oh and dyna s ignition with standard coils. I believe the standard main jet is 112.5. At the moment the main jets are 115 for some reason. The plug colour doesnt look to bad, the electrode look teabiscuit coloured but the body of the plug looks a bit sooty. What you think put it back to 112.5s or leave it at 115 ?

If plugs are 'rich tea or digestive' colour, and just a bit sooty, and bike runs OK, best to leave a touch rich, rather than weak. Check straight after a longer fast run. As weather gets hotter, will tend to richen slightly, and lean out in cooler weather.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
