A4 Caliper (pads)

How slack (or tight) should the pad be that sits in the floating plate on my A4 caliper?. The original pad was almost stuck solid and the new one is a VERY tight fit..... is this right?.

Hi on my A4 calipers you can push the pad out with thumb pressure! Cheers Paul J

I thought the pad should be tight-ish but still be able to slide in the plate without to much force.
