Z1R Clutch nut

Hi guys, I'done that stupid of stupid things and taken the engine out of the bike without stripping the clutch first , now i cant undo the centre nut... Ive tried all methods of holding it and even tried an air ratchet. Does anybody have any super duper tool to hold the drum whilst i try to undo the nut?? I'll happily pay the postage and a sensible deposit but i cant see spending ?60 quid to undo one nut (thats the price i saw in CMM fot the Kawasaki tool)

An impact wrench set on reverse should get it off no worries.
You can use on old steel clutch plate and weld a rod to it so it you hold the clutch basket or you can try to lock up the primary gear to the clutch basket with some rag.

You can make a sort of scissor action tool with a couple of bits of flat 3mm mild steel bar, about an inch wide. This is easy to work, just cut 2 bits about 500mm long, bend the ends 90 deg, about 2" then drill a hole in each about 200mm back from bent bits and bolt together so the are like a pair of scissors. The idea is to use the bent ends to wedge the inner & outer drum still, where the clutch plates were. I made some form me GIXER which worked OK. Thats if Jacks "stuff a rag in" method dont work.
If ur engines out, call ur local bike shop (not Dockgate 20 tho!) and I'm sure one of the mechanics will do it for you for a drink, if you drop the engine round one lunch time!

I had this problem whwn I took my engine down the last time I managed to borrow a tool got it off in a trice but it's bloody hard to do otherwise. My brother took measurements and a diagram of the tool to make one up but it hasn't appeared yet or you could borrow it!

When I took it down this time I took that nut off at the start...
