Will these carbs fit

Does anyone know if these carbs have the right spacing to fit a Z1?

The spacing is very close but not quite , though there is a bit of allowance on the bracketry .
You will need 1000J or i think GPZ inlet rubbers but you will lose the vacuum stubs ,
the carbs have a tapped plugged hole to take vacuum from though for balancing .

As above - Yes they will fit, with a little bit of work.
They are exactly what I used on my 'H' when I tried carbs for a while quite a few years ago.
However.
I can't for the life of me remember why, but I had to move the quadrent etc from between two outer carbs to the centre. As it's all bolt together modular stuff it's just a case of rebuilding it all in a different order.
As the GSXR inlets sit at a downward angle, the float bowls won't sit at the correct angle when used on horizontal zed inlets. This caused them to leak as soon as the engine was turned off, even draining down the fuel in the line from the tap once it was turned off.
The GSXR uses a Vacuum tap, so I turned up an adaptor to run a GSXR tap in the line from the zed tap to the carbs.
I used a set of rubbers that had the take-offs built in, but can't remember what they were off. I do remember they came from J.Browse.
Lastly there isn't much meat on the carb mouth to put individual filters on, and I was forever having them pop off.
Oh and I was never happy with them so spent a while getting the EFI system running properly instead.

Been there, done that. (on a Z1000J)
Jetting: 42.5 pilots, 125 mains, mix screw 1 3/4 turns out, fuel level needs to be raised 1mm or 1.5mm.
Rather spend a little more and get a good set or spend less and have a set of completely shagged carbs, which will cost you a fortune to overhaul.

These seem to be popping up on a regular basis just lately on ebay. At the right price, they may well make an interesting project this summer.
