Front Disc skim/regrind?

#1 PostAuthor: DogsbolloxofZ1B » Thu Mar 11, 2010 5:02 pm

Does anyone have a good contact for reclaiming an old Z1 front disc :?:

I had one turned on a lathe by a Co. years ago but the two sides weren't parallel nor true to the mounting plate and had pulsing through the brake lever. If anyones has had a good service from someone I'd like to know. :D

Also Turned finish or should these be ground :?:

Cheers,
Mike

Mike, try this lot. 'Bowden Auto Engineering' (Google 'em) tel No. is 0117 9693355.
They skimmed a Z1000 rear disc for me years ago & have just reduced the radius on a ZX7R disc for me latest project. A quick word of warning..... tell 'em is for an old bike with a very fat disc (which it is), they won't touch modern 'thin' discs.
