Broken Cylinder Head Fins.

#1 PostAuthor: haz1 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 4:57 am

Hi. I have a 1973 Z1 motor with a couple of broken fins on the cylinder heads. Can anyone tell me are these repairable or have they have this type of repair done and what was the end result like. Appreciate any info on this subject thanks.
Best regards to all.

Haz, I have had this done a couple of times on heads and barrells, you need to find someone who does aluminium fabrication and welding. I use a guy here in Sydney and his work is beautiful and price quite reasonable as well.
Good luck with it

Just had some barrell fins repaired, these will be painted, otherwise I would have bead blasted them.
