Hi all,
I have put my new fuel tap on, and took the bike for a test ride today, bit cold, anyhow it was runing abit spluttery on the low revs, but when you open her up, its fine,oppisite what it was before, as far as I know the carbs are clean,I had them off a short while back, fuel line has filters, new plugs etc, so wondering if its the carbs or something else..

the carbs are pretty well balance, hav"nt looked at the plugs yet, will probably have another look tomorow,

Had the same problem when mine was on the road. Found carbs gummed up with crap fuel and had to remove idle jets and clean. To stop this form happening again I turn the petrol off quarter of a mile from home and run the float bowls dry before switching off - never got the problem again.

new battery may solve prob,
same happened to me, hope
its a cure.

Would have said the same,could be either battery or pilot jets,couple of areas to check.

well, would you adam and eve it, another bl****y plug..they were new, it was the plug on 1 was inermitent, so put another one in, and hey whats you guess it, so its runing ok at the mo, need fine tuning, but it do for now, so what is it with these NGK"S, I know people on here has said they are rubish, I never had any probs on any other bike, only this one, maybe something is doing them in on my bike? I do have a new set of coils, which I will be putting on very soon....

I,ve always used Denso in my A2 with no problems, give them a try, bike seems to run better.

Based on the fact that you had a passing tap and its #1 cylinder there is an argument that says that #1 has been flooding....no? Or at best running rich perhaps!

If you read the above thread it would indicate on the surface that there is little difference NOW between NGK and Denso plugs where historically there may well have been.

If you destroy a new plugs or plugs my suggestion would be either that; you are unlucky or that there is another problem elsewhere.
Ignition faults and fuelling issues probably account for a good proportion of plugs discarded as faulty by supply.

You have a new tap now, so maybe as you say its time to look at those coils and possibly measure their supply voltage.

Hi all,
Just thought I take the z out for a ride today, and guess what, no 4 plug was causing a misfire, so changed it and hey preso, we off again, runing ok, so thats 1 and 4 so far, so, I think I will be changing those coils very soon, hopefully this will help, can anyone tell me if it is possible for the coil to do the plugs in if faulty?
