Pasc, I got some a few years ago, but never got round to using it.
Some people just warm the engine, empty old oil, then top up with cheapo Woolworth stuff and run for 5/10 mins, ditch that, then refill with the good stuff. Why you need to flush, or is it just coz you fancy giving it a go :?:

Cheers guys, Mr Pigford, I did give it a go a couple of years ago on one of my turbos. Haven't a clue how effective it was. The reason I ask is after removing the cams from my 1000j I found 6 scored cam bearings and scored cam journals so thought I'd see what the general concensus was here before trying it out again.

DON'T do it especially on a TURBO motor
as above a quick change of normal oil will be sufficent

you say scoring - does it look like bits in the oil has caused this or a let down or under oiling causing a seizing / welding effect?

make sure you have a magnetic sump plug

Nick, it looks like some small particle has passed through scoring the shells slightly.
