just bought this http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/rr10-uni ... 527-0.html after reading threads and contacting electrex them selves so how does it connect up ?. using the green plug do i connect using bullet type conections on the 3 yellow, black to earth and red female to where? switched live or permanent? dont have a much of an idea so colours/what they supply would be good.

The yellows would be the three phases output from your alternator (doesn't matter which yellow goes to which phase).
The black will be earth. The Red provides positive yummy DC volts from your shiny new regulator and goes to the battery positive terminal.
Course, I'm a computer programmer not an Auto Electrician and this 'advice' is worth every penny you just paid for it

Absolutely correct

check my post on how to fit a rectifier/regulator unit, for a tenner.
you can always cut the wires and jpoion them on to the wieres from the pluyg.
you need to splay the wires, clean them with wet'n'dry, then push end to end, twsit for good contact then apply electrical solder. to stop the wires from unrave;lling, which they want to do, I use one thjiin strand to wrap round them holding them in place.
