A4 brake shoe pivot removal?

Can the 2 brake shoe pivot plugs? be removed for rezincing/cleaning??
Appears the 2 plugs? on outside are peened over.
If they can't be removed any tips on how to clean treat these plugs?

I don`t know the answer to that one but it reminds me of when a mate
bought aZ900 that had stood for some time.He got it running,shot off up the road,applied rear brake only for the actuating arm to jam on!
Sure enough his new toy slid up the road and got a good dose of road rash. Don`t forget to apply a dollop of grease to the pivot pin that pushs brake shoes apart.

Hench, I've looked at this irritating cosmetic problem for years. As they are burnished/ riveted in place, removal is out of the question. In my opinion there is only two solutions.
After cleaning/ polishing the plate, the edges of the steel pins have been polished and look quite nice! However, as we know these are just mild steel and will rust. so, we have to polish or lightly emery the internal hole. Then the pin ends can be either be:
1. clear lacquered or
2. painted with silver/gal paint.
A similar cosmetic problem, is with the small cap ends on the Z1 series 28 mm carbs, where it is difficult to remove the nickel plating and polish to achieve a good finish, then re-nickel.
