Have been told that some of the earlier Z brake drums were not cast with a indicator section, does anybody know of this and what serial #'s these would apply to? Thanks, Clay

First model Z1 didn't have the indicator mark, but couldn't tell you to what number. I think it changed at Z1A but more knowledgeable members might be able to say exactly

Clay, I believe all Z1's were without the rear brake wear indicator block, hence, numbers Z1F-0001 thru to Z1F-20,000 would not have this block. However, these Z1's would also have the clamping-bolt for the small actuating arm with its bolt-head facing forward.
The first few Z1A's would probably be the same as the Z1. I'm not sure when the indicator was introduced... I believe, early in the Z1A's life, probably about Z1F-21,000. At this introduction the small actuating arm, clamping-bolt would have the bolt-head facing rear. this allowed the the wear-indicator pointer to be more clearly seen, without the the bolt-head obscuring the view.

Thank-You John and Garn!! Just got off with the phone with Jeff at Z1 and as always is a FANTASTIC resource for info. His info does concur with both of yours. Apparently the early brake arm from the H2 was used for the "73" Z, available supply at the time one would guess. Just passing along extra info. Many Thanks for your help gentlemen!!

That oiler tank has to be a scam or someone bidding it up. There was a nice tank on ebay that ended a few weeks ago ,sold for $60
eBay I will never figure it out?

Hey Greg, yea you're probably correct but the bay is a feast or famine tool. Never did see the final dollar, don't need to though. Give me a call and let me know how the clocks turned out or didn't. Cheers
