Thanks to everyone who replied to my last thread on this topic. I got the main stand and some brackets back from the powder coaters today.

Note I have used 1p pieces to open up the coils on the spring before fitting.

Needed to remove right hand pipes for better access. I used too many coins and the spring was actually loose when I fitted it!!!

Once the stand goes down the tension lets the coins come loose and they wriggle out quite easily. I have shown this for a z650 but the method should work on any stand spring. The best thing is the 1p pieces were all still good at the end so it didn't cost anything to do it and it made offering the stand and securing shaft into place real easy.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed on this one for me. From Mark
