O'ring on Z1000A2 clutch/sprocket casing

Replacing a broken clutch cable and found in amoungst a load of oil/grease a small 6mm(ish) o'ring.

Where is it from? Is it from the clutch cable housing locating/centering pin?

I found from the parts book that there is a little o'ring that goes on the centering pin as I had suspected. (pt no. 670B1507) Apparently they are there to keep grease within the clutch cable opertaing mechanism.
