Hi Guys

Just nearly completed the engine rebuild, torquing the crankcase bolts and by golly 1 of them broke of before I even got any where near the 11lb/feet.
Tightened in the right sequence to the numbers on the case, when I tried to remove the bolts another four broke.of to the machine shop tomorrow to have them removed. Anyone had similar experiences and how did you overcome it and no where I can get cost effective replacement bolts.

cheers
johny

Have you had the bolts plated recently, and / or the cases bead / vapour blasted.
No to both then its down to tool shop for a new torque wrench.
Cant think what else it could be.

Hope this helps
