Engine restorers: Polyethylene Plugs

#1 PostAuthor: DogsbolloxofZ1B » Tue Jan 05, 2010 2:00 pm

Just taken delivery of M6 & M10 Polyethylene plugs & they are fab at keeping the grit out of the OEM threads during vapour blasting.
Maybe of interest to some but only available by 1000 for M6 & 700 for M10 total delivered cost for 1700 pcs was £52. If anyone wants to go halves let me know.
Supplier can be found at :

Mike, some of these would be useful to me, but I don't want hundreds. How about selling them in mixed bags of 100 65/35 ish split at a tenner a bag, if you sell enough, you'll get what you need for free & help out more than just one member.
I'm up for a bag if you're willing to sell 'em that way.

Our wee Kr1s cases are going to the vapour blasters tomorrow.I've tried every chemical and mechanical means I'm aware of and there nowhere near where I want them.

Please forgive a novice but I didn't think there was any grit involved?
