Whats the best way to blank off the engine where the cable goes for rev counter?

I got an alloy bit - like the Goodridge blue/red anodised fittings.... :wink:

Think I got it 2nd hand off eBay a few years back :?:

I think Z1 enterprises do blanking plugs. If you have access to a lathe they are easy enough to make

Why not use the threaded fitting of the end of the rev counter cable with a round piece of metal or a coin to blank the opening and some sealant.
