Just got a lovely set of carb`s from the States. Sadly however they were damaged in transit.
Carb No.1 is scrap due to the crack in the seam where it has been so severely damaged.

Question is how do you, or is it even possible to straighten out the dents in the intake venturis ?

are they the same carbs as you saw on ebay?? i..e was the packaging damaged?

dunno how to sort that, I suspect bending it back would fracture it. seek expert advise before attempting anything.

TBH, I wouldn't even bother f***ing about with them, yet ya money back pronto.

I`ve got some carb bodies laying around,26 or 28mm?
If I have some they would be freebies :)

You could try a blow torch to soften it,but there is still a good chance it will break, nothing to lose by trying though. :|

Thanks lads. I had a PM last night informing me of someone that can sort out the minor discrepancies.

Sadly that carb has cracked and I think anything nearly as severe would do the same if I tried to starighten it, heat or not. I do have a spare body though so all is not lost.

Fact is though they were poorly packed by someone that should know better !
