Front Master cylinder A2

#1 PostAuthor: breakdown » Tue Oct 27, 2009 1:40 pm

I've got a master cylinder for my A2, which I was told had come from an A2. The cylinder looks correct, right shape and going from the diagram in the manual, identical part for part. When I went to order the repair kit I noticed that the dia of the piston is 14mm. Is this correct for a twin disc set-up. If not, any idea's what it might be from. Any info gratefully appreciated. Thank you

Tried your man Chris, but no reply as yet. Anybody else know of somebody that can bore out a front brake master cylinder, need it taken out to 5/8.
Cheers Folks

Breakdown, the Kawasaki sizes of their early master cylinders are nominally 1/2 & 5/8 inches. I have noticed this is only a "Nominal" size and the 1/2 " is about 11-12 mm and the 5/8" could be about 14 mm. ... Worth a check!
