hello z support team

due to exhaust blowing a bit and an impending mot I have decided to fit some new exhaust gaskets . In the past with having a 4 into 1 exhaust I have had to take the exhaust off every time i have changed the oil filter and have replaced the old gasketts many times....anyway I have received the new gaskets promptly from good old z power (who I cant praise highly enough)..and notice one side of each gaskett is rounded and the other flat, as I have never seen a new gasket before and bearing in mind its not a standard exhaust which way do the gaskets go on ..is it flat side against the cylinder block ?

any advice appreciated and hope santa brings me a proper exhaust for christmas

ive always used rounded ones in the past, then i was sent some that are flat on both sides, so my guess is it doesnt matter.

I would have thought that the flat side sits against the head, I use some clear silicone on the joint as well, don't know how right that is but seems to work ok, a bloke who makes em told me that years ago.

thanks guys, I put them on flat side against the cylinder and no more blowing problems, the bike passed Mot after the garage sold me a new number plate for 15 quid as they told me due to new legislationmy orignal plate was too small, ah well just happy it passed without too much expense
