I have had to fill my battery twice this year, the water keeps boiling away , what causes this.
first time 2 months ago it was empty, and again yesterday.

Check the charge voltage on the battery terminals with motor running, should be 13.5-14volts.Anything over this points to a duff regulator or rectifier or the unit if its a combined one.

regulator.

on A1 and earlier (maybe later models) the rectifier and regulator were 2 separate units ,one found under each side panel.

wait until this weekend when I will hopefully get time to fit a solid state onece piece from a GPZ550 .... wanted to do it earluer but shit at worked means I am getting home late ... :( ... cost a tenner of ebay - read on here and someone fitted one from CG 126 ... or you can buy replacement Z unit for £ 70.

definitely your regulator boiling the battery dry, get it changed ASAP and replace the battery too, the old one will be well and truly shagged by now, you're lucky it retains a charge at all.
12V multimeter across the battery terminal should show a relatively steady charge between 13.5V and 14.5V MAX, anything over and that's bad
