clutch problems z1000

#1 PostAuthor: stephen lavery » Sat Sep 26, 2009 6:51 pm

having problems with clutch. before top end rebuild outer clutch cable had been rubbing against downpipe causing iner cable to rust. this led to heavy clutch. replaced it but clutch kept slipping. changed oil/filter (was silkoline) now gtx. also changed friction plates although these are secondhand they are within wear limit 3.5mm springs 35mm. soaked plates in oil overnight .fitted went for a spin. clutch working great. went to go for a spin yesterday, bike started great put it in gear let out clutch and BIKE WONT DRIVE. took out plates (all free) checked ball bearing is in place. every thing seems fine, good clutch feel, gear selection ok. CAN SOMEONE HELP.
