KZ1000A2 Exhaust

I am looking at a exhaust system but not if it will fit my 1978 A2
It has KZT00k1000 KH1K023 marked on it. Anybody know if it will or not?????????

Life has got so good having a zed.
Now have a KZ1000 A2. I love it

hi Andy, can you not get one of the old silencers off, measure the diameter and see if they will slot on, also measure along the bike to see where the new silencers would end, then pull up a picture of an original z1ooo and check for the look?

second thoughts, don't those z1000's have some sort of connector box underneath, which yours doesn't????

Cheers Mick i will have a go and measure them. There are a lot of kz ltd and police kzs out there. But i dont think they fit or would look right.
Now have a KZ1000 A2. I love it

Andy is that your Zed there in the pic. It looks fantastic and I`m wondering if it has the correct A2 seat ? If so that is a rare beast indeed.

Those slash cut pipes look like MAC that I see alot of in the States.

If you had the stock pipes your bike would be amazing. No help I know :cry:

The trouble is stock pipes are not just expensive, but really, really rare.

Maybe if you offered RB £1000 pounds he would find you an excellent set. If you didn`t want to pay that much there are others here that would I can assure you.

As far as i know the seat and all the bike is original except for the pipes. Who is RB?? I was going to see is Armours could make a set for me.
Now have a KZ1000 A2. I love it

A2 seat looks like a Z1 seat but the squares are of equal size.

RB is Rick Brett, he posts on here, who ships containers of bikes from the States and may be a good source for shopping at autojumbles?
