well remember the cg125 was a new one 12volts electric start, the reg/rect is mounted on the right at the steering stem.
five wire , 3yellow,1green,1red
3yellow to the 3wires from alternator
1green to earth battery earth on engine
1red into the double red and white at battery
i fitted an in line fuse on the red wire to be safe, and mounted the unit on the electric board above the battery.
14.1volts with lights off 13.8 with lights on better than 16volts and done for £10

hahah cg125 is the only other bike I've owned so have the Haynes for it.
haynes shows it as 6 V but I know mine was 12 v ... and in fact there is section for Brazillian model as b eing 12V, whcih mine was...... but the wiring diag shows 2 phase generator, Z has 3 phase, hmmm...
also the CG125 bulbs are of lower wattage than Z
35/35 W headlamp
21/5 W stop/tail lamp
18 or 21 W indicator
cf Z
50/35 W head lamp
32/4 W stop/tail
23 W indicator
so not that much difference but may be enough to cause probs.
I have GPZ 550 rectifier/regulator unit that I will get round to fitting once I have sorted hte engine - doesn;t seem to be finring too well on left hand 2 cylinder - pipe from tank not clear?

first i cant remember wot a superdream unit looks like but the cg is small about size of a 10 pack of cigs,
def 3 yellow wires same as comes from alternator.
as for bulbs you only get 21/5 tail bulbs from retailers,
headlight 60/55 h4 so yes it may take a bit more
so long as its putting out over 13 volts with the lights on all should be well.
got a blackbird one as well much bigger may try that ,its got 7 wires
it was a brazil bike think they all are now
