carb cleaning

Received this link from Peter Inman, who I spoke to at the Scottish Show.
Apparently you boil your carb parts in distilled water and this takes the sludge off. The example in the article uses Gold Wing carbs, but its the same for all I'd imagine.

Has anbody used Wurth fuel cleaner got a bottle to try out after the winter lay off, I used there oil additive it seemed to work well.

maybe try the pressure cooker. Its supposed to work and is obviously cost effective......until she finds out.....lol
I remember using one of those chain lube tins year ago........on the cooker.....house was minging for days......lol

Basically it's the same thing, you are exiting the molecules, one uses vibration the other uses heat to get the job done. If you are going to boil them suspend them in the water so they don't touch the bottom of the pan.
