Its the later ones that had 19 inch front wheel (D2) model.
(which we didn't really see in the uk - although there are one or two about now!)

sounds like the same sizes as I put on mine recently. I fitted Avon Roadriders, which seem to give very stable handling, wet or dry. I used to use BT45's , but was encouraged by Tony Salt ( former GP tyre man for Michelin ) to try these ; good advice I think.

My Kawasaki workshop manual covering A1, A2 and D1 shows 3.50H-18 front and 4.00-18 rear for the D1.

We seem to be getting lost here
Front is 3.25V19 4PR
Rear is 4.00V18 4PR.
I reckon it is most important that you do not use modern metric tyres as the rims are suited to the higher profile imperial sizes.
Everyone seems to like the Bridgestone BT45`s and after a certain amount of deliberation I plumped for them too.
Best mod I ever gave to a bike !
Posted this after the two sensible replies. I would agree that the 18 is a slightly wider tyre at 3.50 !

Is the correct answer.
My (now Keiths) Z1R-D2 has a 19 inch front wheel - earlier ones were 18 inch.

100 90 18 F ..... 120 90 18 R ...... unless you have a 19 inch front wheel then adjust front to suit .
Metzler lazertech give the best milleage (in my opinion) and they dont break the bank especially if you go for the H rated which are more than adequate
