oil and fuel

What is the best oil for a z1b and which fuel is best, I have been using the cheaper unleaded, does it make a difference ?..any advice appreciated

We use Amsoil but i am sure you will get other recomendations from other members here, regards, Steve

from what ive read on here these bikes were made to run on the low spec, low grade petrol, unless you have a tuned up motor the cheap stuff is good. the other thing ive read is dont mix mineral oil with synthetic oil.

I use GTX & change it regular 1000 to 1500 mls,but I hardly use my zed so thats about a year these days and 97ron unleaded, But if yours don't pink on 95 and you'r happy with the way it runs >>>

Castrol GTX is very popular here - and is a tried and tested product

I personally use Halfords Semi Synthetic Oil and Standard 95 Octane fuel.

With a standard Z, - If you use the higher octane fuels (eg Total Excellium/BP Ultimate/ Shell Optimax) - it will not do any harm, except possibly to your wallet !!

Also use Halfords semi synthetic 15-40 in both cars and bikes. Changed every twelve months. Its the same spec as the "named brands" .
