Can anyone advise me if a 1979 KZ1000 US spec Cyl Head will fit a 1983 KZ1100 US Spec. engine. - Regards Jacobmarley.

The later J type engines from 1981 onwards run a HY-VO type cam chain which is completely different to the earlier Z900/Z1000 type head.

You can convert a "J" type head to fit an older Zed...... with a cam chain conversion that allows fitment of a top roller.... :!:

Never heard anyone fitting a roller chain head to a later "J" engine though... :??
