Z1000A2, how many miles per tank before reserve and how many miles on reserve before running out assuming a steady 75-85mph on the motorway. I reckon on 120miles + 35miles, that about right? 140miles and 40miles at a push?

Probably correct with those range figures Surf. Push it any more and it would be a push.

The main/reserve milage is down to how you adjust the height of the tap internals. There is a slight variation due to the depth of thread in the tap securing nut.

I usually filled up my A4 when it showed 120 miles on the tripometer

You should get a good 40mpg+ on a standard engine! My Z1000 is an 1075cc, RS36's, K&N's, gasflowed, etc & does over 40mpg ave, and it gets a bit of stick too

most I've seen om my Z900A4 with 1015 barrels and 26mm carbs was 115 miles before reserve, in town it's usually 80-100, after fitting 28mm carbs it improved but haven't tested on a full tank yet
