Yes the J motor will more or less bolt straight in.

The J motor has 2 mountings at the front and 1 at the rear.
The Z1R will have 1 at the front and 2 at the back.

You will need major modification to make it fit
so no it won't bolt straight in

Ok, is the Z1r frame similiar to a 77 kz1000a, where the J motor will not fit without mods as well?
There is a cheap J motor for sale locally and all i have is a spare Z1R or 77 kz1000 frame.

Drop the J motor in the z1r frame by the rear upper mount and space accordingly. You'll need to make some front engine plates and do away with the bottom mounts on the frame as the J doesn't use them. It's a swap thats been succesfully done 100's of times and should be a simple job for you judging by the work you've done on your streetfighter.

I put a J motor in a Z1000 frame,[`77] and had to cut off the lower rear engine mounts `cos a J motor is "deeper" at the back.
As said above ,new front lower bar/engine mount at front.
