hi ,a question for the collective please,
what,s the most likely cause for the revs to just
hang for a sec after shutting the throttle ?
oops forgot the bike is z1000 a1,standard apart from
harris exhaust.also running standard air box and filter,
i,ve cleaned the slides and throttle cables and checked
the spring etc it,s snapping closed properly,
i,ve also checked the timing( static) at fully advanced
which is ok, should i retard it a little maybe ?

any help appreciated guys

Hi knut

This is usually caused by an air leak on the engine side of the carbs which causes induction to continue after throttle closing. Most common cause is failed airseal at the carb inlet rubbers.
