Airbox spec

Anybody know if the airbox differs greatly between 900 models?
Reason for asking is I'm thinking of reverting back to standard (ie ditching the K&Ns) and I have a Z1b fitted with 900A4 motor, therefore not sure which model airbox to get, or if it actually makes any difference. I presume the carbs are from a 900A4 so would probably be safer the get the A4 airbox and rubbers?
Thanks for any help, Simon.

Simon,
I think you'll find that the frame is more the issue rather than engine or carbs. Z9 box might fit but suspect you will need earlier Z1 type.

Just seen your pics on another post of yours. Your carbs are Z1B type. You'll be needing early airbox

A Z1 airbox will probably be easier to locate as well as there are pattern ones available at a reasonable price.

As Ir35 states " the frame is the issue" (May be!).
Both the Z1B and the 900-A4 engines have the same physical dimensions.
Both the Z1B carbs and the A4 carbs have the same physical dimensions, (albeit the Z1b (28mm) the A4 (26mm) .
The difficulty will come fitting an A4 Air-box to the Z1B frame. I'm thinking you may have trouble there. Perhaps not!
Regardz.
PS. if you can get a Z1B air-box make sure it's soft and has not shrunk in dimensions across the carbs holes.
