Hi flybo,
what is the problem with the carbs you have?
There are a variety of different carbs that can be used, [although fitment/setting-up/tuning is rarely straightforward].
Hopefully, someone with experience of fitting alternative carbs, will reply.
Have you looked in the "search forum"?

Flyboy, the best way to cure your problems are to sort the original carbs out !

What has been done to your bike and why are your current carbs giving problems ?

You may find that there are other problems that need sorting first, such as ignition or valve clearances.

I`m not far away from you and would be happy to take a look after you are sure you`ve got over the basic problems.

Maybe post some pics of your bike ............. `cause we`re all nosy :D

Flyboy,
Here is a pic of a set of Mikuni Flatslides from an early GSXR (I think) fitted to a Z1000ST that I broke last year. You will notice that the float bowls don't sit level, as the Suzuki has a more inclined inlet tract, although I don't think that is a real problem. You should be able to pic these up for about £50-60 from ebay. The spacing is spot on, you will need some inlet rubbers from a Z1000J & you're sorted!
If you want to spend lot's more, then you could splash out on a 'proper' set of Mikuni RS Flatslides. Come in various sizes 34, 36, 38 & 40mm. These will cost you around £500......................... I plan to buy some of these, as soon as I can persuade my conscience to turn a 'blind eye' to a big hit on the credit card!

Sorry Nanno, I have absolutely no idea........ I didn't fit these, or look inside, just flogged em.

Pigford will probably give you some idea of where to start. If he doesn't post here, Give him a PM
