Hillbilly, thanx for giving us anuvver option mate

Main point is that we have a polisher who is a CLUB MEMBER, and has earned a good reputation, so is the first choice.

Postage is the same anywhere within the UK mainland (England) so I believe :?: Correct me if I'm wrong :??

Mikey's prices are hard to beat coz he doesn't run a flash web site (he's f**kin' usless on the computer anyhow  )

No offence Hillbilly, think its just a "stand together" pack mentallity comin thru on this one
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

I've also got my own local polisher in Digbeth, Birmingham. He's excellent (does some stuff for Jaguar and the Motorcycle museum) and cheap. But, he's not a club member and Mikey is and from what I've seen, Mikeys work is excellent and good for Mikey and the club so I don't tend to advertise my polisher here, but if the Brum members here need to drop him something off at short notice they can pm me for his details.

not wishing to be controversial here , but why not do it yourself. its easy if you are talking about aluminium polishing. loads of polishing kits on the net. all you need is a range of mops and the coloured wax blocks and a bench grinder to fit the mop wheels on. okay its hard work but you can get fantastic results from a few hours graft and the satisfaction from doing it yourself. i have also used autosol on mops and use belgom alu to keep it shiny afterwards.
someone with experience like mikey will no doubt get better results but i
think you can get close in your own shed if you dont mind the work.

To a certain extent I agree with you. However, some jobs need a professional.
My 2 examples are preparation for chroming and complex items eg deep braced swinging arm. I have had the arm done by Mikey and it was superb, when I can save the pennies, I will be putting the chrome work I need done through him .

i to would polish my own if i had the equipment, but i dont, and i know a lot of others on here dont have it either,i was trying to do something for the benefit of the club members by opening another option for polishing there bits,in the northwest of the country,i know people near me that do bead blasting, plastic coating, enamelling, just about anything that you could want.
i wont be offering anything again, its just not worth the bother of arguing with everyone over who to use.i dont know how many members there are in this club, but it must be over a thousand and they all dont live down south.
