I LOOKED BACK AT MY Z1R THAT I BOUGHT IN 79 AND IT HAD THE BIG TANK BUT IT WAS ON A V PLATE SO MY MISTAKE I DO SO APOLOGISE.

if the shocks have a nut under the top mount on the damping rod i can get them repaired. the only ones he has not been able to repair was a pair of zr750 shocks as the tops had been pressed on not threaded. i had a pair of old marzocchi's repaired by him. these were returned to me with new stainless steel damping rods (instead of chromed ones) , new seals and re-valved. they were so much better the the original setting which i always found to be too firm.
