I'll run super-unleaded and even a dollop of octane booster (this is for my Harris Magnum so I'll not be touring on it!) and see how I go.
Mine was gas flowed head, std cams, RS36 carbs (which are NOT too big!) and she pinked a bit at wider "laboured" throttle openings at lower revs .... but did that for the 10 yrs I owned her with no problems.... also had a fair bit of thrashing at the 1/4 mile, etc

10,s Dont think that would ever be attained with my fat arse on board Mark? The couple of times i rode the bike before pulling apart did not notice any apprecialble pinking, gonna run her on copper cored plugs plus octane booster with super u leaded any road...Paul J
