Here's the video showing the used Pingel Fuel Tap - http://youtu.be/AQjp-rsYGfI
It screws straight on to the tank, but it won't unscrew from the tap and
the gauze won't remove either. Yours being the earlier alluminium model
dismantles and is serviceable?
The chromed brass nut on this Pingel Fuel Tap is chewed (was when I was first got it),
so I can see why given that if it's not serviceable, my friend gave up with it.
Hi Jay, if you look close through the screen there is a stepped bit the tube turns inside this so how about this one, replace lever or use a miniature slide hammer to draw on or poss better replace lever with thin allen key that just fits through hole rest loosely across vice ie tap upside down resting on allen key find an old socket that clears the center that moves cut slots to clear allen key and drift outer off inner I'm full off daft idea's they don,t always work but 9 times out of 10 they do if your really stuck i'll test the theory on mine and send you it to do yours, you can bet that in the states they have fancy drifts to replace seals in these little buggers

Yes, please send pictures of your Pingel Fuel Tap Jes, to see if it's
the same type as this tap.
