I have a bottle of redex in the shed but i wasn`t sure if it wud be ok for my 900. So a capful will do no harm, then?

Hi sweptail,

I bought a small bottle from Halfords a few hours ago - £2.99 - treats
60 litres, put full tank of Shell V-Power (which I use regularly) which
came to 14 litres, so added a quart of the bottle (estimated by tipping bottle in tank slowly - not measuring at home) to me Z900 A4 tank, went for a blat
on the dual carriageway - about 10 miles round trip back home. No probs.
So now I've tested the poison, you can rest assured it's safe for your
trusty steed!

Redex is generally OK, but not so sure for modern engines as it could affect any catalytic convertors. Also putting too much in can reduce the octane rating of the petrol, but you would need to put a large %ge in a tank of petrol.
