Been working inn on the prototype air box silencer tonight. Was disappointed with the perforated baffle material I ordered as it was to heavy and too many perforations.
I found a gas can which is exactly the size of the baffle tube and will have to drill the perforations out by hand.
So far
The black outer canister has been made from 100mm drain.
The bottoms of the I near baffle I have used 2 times down light frames.
I'll post some pics when I have more to show.

Hi yes I made one and sent the pics to Garn it's a little difficult to describe how but here goes.
Used a 100mm toilet drain pipe for the body withe a reducer down to 75mm to get onto the air box. Jubilee clip to hold in place.
Used 2 downlighting bodies for the ends of the baffle and had a metal work company make the baffle tube which I put in between the down lights.
Spayed the innards silver and the outer black.
Wrapped the baffle with black foam.
It looks really authentic I think and thanks Garn for the help with the sizes.

Got any pics? My A4 is still on the road, but is coming off at the end of September for a full rebuild.
