turn off fuel tap - open float drain screw and drain fuel - this leaves float at lowest position and needle away from seat - place rag under drain screw hole and turn on fuel for 2 secs this will flush away any crap from the seat needle area - refit drain screw turn on tap to see if leak gone - if not will require new seat valve ( is tank rusty ? ) check fuel tap drain bowl for any dirt

I'm interested to hear the answer to Z1Bman's query...
Is there fuel in the Airbox?
Fuel should not get to the breather only fuel fumes. these are directed towards the air filter/ air box entry, as Pertonpc mentions .

Good idea, will try that before checking the float levels (again)

Quick check last night, the air filter and box are dry. Maybe as pertonpc points out the breather pipes are incorrectly routed and this may cause fumes to collect back to liquid? It's only a dribble and only noticed because the pipe end was resting on top of the swing arm pivot area. Will re-route pipes and check bowl fuel levels later. :up

Breather pipes re-routed to the airbox intake area. Float levels checked and bowls flushed by opening fuel tap with plugs out. Tickover seems a bit smoother maybe (or wishfull thinking). Went for about 5 miles and checked breather pipes which were totally dry. Must have been the routing before going straight down from the carbs causing the dribbling?
