Headlight

item 2 in the diagram is only for the sealed beam headlight with the three metal rings. the later uk z900 headlight consist's of just the chrome ring & the headlight glass & is secured by w shaped spring clip's. you are correct garn they did discontinue the headlight stay & the only way to adjust the headlight was to tilt it up or down with your hands to get it to the right height
Z1Bman, I'm thinking it must be different countries that is causing either my or your difference in opinion re sealed beam. I call a sealed beam - no globe or rather the headlamp is the globe, whereas the semi-sealed beam has a separate globe that is fitted to the headlamp.
In the diagram displayed, item number 2 is a spring loaded philip head screw that adjust the angular tilt either left or right.
In oze, both sealed beam and semi sealed headlights are adjusted and use the two items (9 &10) mentioned earlier to support the lamp.
