While you are waiting - I had a similar problem and got some advice from one member that worked - basically it was the idle pilot jets that were set too rich and the bike ran fine on old plugs. After fitting new plugs (modern plugs appear to like to run lean) the problems started.

Solution was to clean the new plugs thoroughly then re-set the pilot jets to one turn out (i.e. lean) and take it from there - worked for me.
Dear Santa, please can I have...

Mikey, I ordered some stuff last Thursday eve and it was delivered today so call it one week. I paid the slightly higher shipping charge to get it sent via UPS. A good investment cos it can take ages for the Post Office to deliver if you use standard postage especially with the current crappy postal strike/go slow whatever it is!

Thanks geoff anyway, but the kits from Z1enterprises are very comprehesive and include all the gaskets o rings jets and needle vavles etc and with the postage worked out to be just over the £50 mark for all 4 carbs.
