thanks TLC, nice bike Stuart, i hope things go well with the rebuild, not the best time of year, bummer, but hey, at least it was a merc, bit of class, not some joy rider in a astra. some times life makes you smile and some times it slaps you in the face, :grr looks like these guys are right behind you :v

Hi Stuart

Total bummer - but I think 2Z might be right here.

I remember from my resto that the M8 bolt is quite long - long enough to absorb the impact.

Fingers crossed for you Bud

The other side of Stu`s bike.

Amazing the damage that was sustained  and I haven`t seen it yet, but after a lengthy conversation with Stu it seems as though the bike flipped over completely !

Looks like there's a good chance the bolt could have bent without affecting the crank the fact the timing plate is not totally demolished is a good sign, on the other side the casing seems to have taken most of the hit. Fingers crossed. UNBELIEVABLE that it's got smacked on both sides. :tick What kind of state are your nice standard pipes in they're going to be thing that could be hard to replace.

unbelievably the pipes look fine, small dent in the tank but apart from grab rail the rear of my bikes fine. clocks.head light smashed to bits, just hoping frames not bent or the engine be shoved over
