Leaky petcocks, Anyone have a Pingel adapter plate and tap?

#1 PostAuthor: m1ks » Wed Jul 22, 2009 9:52 pm

Nice ride out today, met a friend off ferry with his trike to take for MOT, about 140mile round trip to ferry, MOT place, friends house for coffee, noticed then the 650 was 'wetting itself' a bit more than usual, (initially considered a sticking needle valve), whipped the pipe off the petcock to find fuel pissing out everywhere, no problem i thought, have another petcock from Ebay bought in readiness for new tank being sprayed, stripped, cleaned and rebuilt, fitted and .......... pissing fuel out all over the place, bloody vacuum operated petcocks, pain in the ass that they are.

So, does anyone happen to have an adapter plate and pingel type on/off/res switch they want to sell, really cannot be arsed with fannying about with rebuild kits especially if the petcock turns out to be worn anyway.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, already looked at debben.
Was kinda hoping to pay a bit less than £80 if possible hence the ask on here first. :)

Thanks,
Looks likely, will need to blank off one outlet but that could do the job.
