Hi,
My z1000 dropped onto 2 cylinders this morning, coil was a bit melted so replaced it with one from Z Power. New coil is by EMGO.
Fitted the coil but still no spark.
What fault does the melted coil point to?
Thanks, John.

Check power getting to low tension side and if it is measure primary and seconary resistance of coil to see if it matches your good coil if still on points check gap and condensor see if you get spark when you open points with ignition on,melted coil may indicate insulation breakdown....Cheers Paul J...
