Guys,
Has anyone recently had their valve stem oil seals replaced on the Zed 1000 or any 900's.
Just looking for a guide price and an idea of who can do it in the Lancashire or West Yorkshire areas.
Thanks for you comments in advance.

Recommend
getting a valve spring compressor and having a bash yourself, it'll be considerably cheaper even buying the tools you need.
Spring compressor £15 ish, halfords
Torque wrench £15 Argos
Combination spanner set £10 for a half decent one
head gasket set / top end set, (includes new stem seals)? Anyone
Of course there are ways of doing it without removing the head but that involves compressors, lengths of nylon cord making a compression tool and a bit of twiddling and bad language, easier to whip off the head, follw the manual and take it easy, you can't go wrong.
If you really don't want to do it yourself I'd say you're looking at £200 easily possibly more as a garage will charge labour on removing cam cover, cams, carbs, exhaust, head and reassembling it all. Another option is you taking someone the head to replace the seals, much cheapness if you can handle the removal and refitting of the head and bits?
If you were nearer Scotland i'd offer to help.

Hi Steve,
If you still need the head doing me mate who bought the engine from you a while ago will do it. He's at the tt at the moment.
He is self employed but works for padgetts, (jonh Mc's mechanic). If you still need it doing ill ring him later and ask how much.I'll get him to do it as a favour to me etc.
