Oil leak repair? Gasket set wanted!

#1 PostAuthor: chrispeckitt » Sun May 31, 2009 10:21 pm

Hi guys, I posted a topic last eweek regarding an oil leak from the cylinder base gasket on my Z1100. I have decided to take the plunge and strip it. Wheres the best place for a gasket set? Also is there anything else that will need replacing while its stripped other than any obvious signs.
Sorry to sound a bit vain about this guys but I dont really know anything about these bikes. I am a mechanic and fairly handy at sortin stuff but If anyone can recomend any short cuts or techniques I would apreciate it.
Thanks, Chris

Hello, Z Power is the best place for your gasket set, don't be tempted to buy cheaper sets as they cost in the long run. Also get yourself a manual i wouldn't attempt a re-build without one.

I don't know mate i've never used one. The only thing i can say is i used a gasket set from Zpower and had no problems at all.
