spark plug fouled - own goal

#1 PostAuthor: tb » Wed May 20, 2009 7:31 pm

Hello Mick, I am suitably repentant. Having never used this before I plead ignorance and crave forgiveness from you and anyone else I might have offended by dispensing with pleasantries.
My name's Ian, live in Reading, am a builder and have owned the zed for ten years.
Though I love it dearly the old girl is driving me mad and I would appreciate any thoughts on the oiling issue - see spark plug fouling -oil in no1.

Many thanks tb

Hi Ian - like mick said introduce yourself on the "new here" section - so go on mate, you know it makes sence.

As your area rep for Berkshire it's always nice to know that someone local has joined the club.

Where abouts in Reading do you live, pm me your address and maybe we could meet up over the weekend sometime.

Posting in the New Here section is optional - it was introduced to allow people who may not have had anything in particular to say to join the forum. It's not a kind of initiation ceremony or anything we wouldn't want anyone to feel under pressure.

Sorry Mr Admin, but when I walk into a room I usually introduce myself first before starting a conversation.

Actually I am guilty of not saying hello in the first place.................and quite a few others I could mention

Still good manners though. See here for perfect illustration.

Well said Admin.
All this flameing of potential members who omit to use the "new here" section is just poncey bollox and does nothing to endear the club to potential members.

Some people may not want to introduce themselves and that is their prerogative, too many people being attacked for it lately.

tb - introducing yourself, don't worry about it, Mick'll get over it.

No1 plug does it smoke just on startup - valve oil seals gone.
other things to try - oval cylinder, oval valve guide hole inlet, compression ring upside down.
