I wish I could remember where the article was and what parts had failed but....basically, someone had one of these engines and it was running a bit rough but still pulled pretty good etc etc. Anyway...normal servicing of the carbs and ignition checks etc didn't produce any joy so he tore the thing down. Whatever it was that he found "not right" inside he said would have killed any "mortal" engine.
