Won't go into second gear

#1 PostAuthor: ARCHIE » Sun Mar 01, 2009 8:50 pm

hi again guys, i've just about finished my Z1000H i've had many many problems and managed to get over them (thanks alot to everyone who has helped and given advice on the forum). But now the first time i've moved it using the clutch and gear box it won't go into second gear. It will go into first gear and back into neutral but know further. Any ideas or has anyone had the same problem, would it possilbly be the external gear selection mechanism?
Here's hoping thanks Archie

Zeds do not go into 2nd gear when stopped . If you try to force it into gear you will break the selectors . DO NOT FORCE IT . Get the bike running on the centre stand and you can run up through the gears .

What he said.

A very clever device to aid selecting neutral :D
