Hi Everyone,
I have a '76 US import that I believe to be an A5 Z900.
It has K&N filters fitted and I'd like to put an original airbox on it.
I've aquired an "A4" airbox and battery frame. The battery frame is different to the one fitted on the bike at the moment - tha A4 airbox wouldn't fit with that in place, especially with the "silencer" fitted (anyone got one of these?).
What I'd really like is some photos or a weblink or maybe a recommendation for a decent manual where i can see some images of the airboxes available and how they fit.
Any help much appreciated.
Tony

Tony,
it may help if you post a pic of the "set up" you have, it will help determine whether you have the right parts.
There are instructions on how to post pics in the Discussion Board section.
I have an A4, with the original air box/silencer and battery box.
Check to see if if you have the correct battery, it should be 12V 10AH.
The Z1 uses a 12V 14A battery which is taller, making the silencer impossible to fit.
I can always post a pic of the standard set-up if needed.

Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.

The A5 was made in america and ran from 1977 after the A4 oficially stopped production, it was built using the surplus parts at the Lincoln, Nebraska factory, it is identicle to the A4, thus the air box assembly will be the same

Z900A4 or A5 airbox dilema
Just been looking at the webpages suggested - bloody handy.
I was interested to see the short "silencer" pipe - I've seen a few different ones on ebay etc with the big triangular end on them. Couldn't see how they would fit my bike despite being advertised as off an A4
Next question, anyone got a silencer!
